Out of all the books in the bible Genesis has to be one of the most fascinating. A lot of people think the book of Revelation is hard to understand, but that is because they never read it threw one time chapter by chapter. On the surface Revelation seems like a hard book to unravel. This is because it is broken into 3 main parts. But once you figure out the style in which it is written, it is easy to understand. Genesis on the other hand is full of stuff. I am only going to be going over a very brief over view of creation, to give you some truth to set your mind free of a lot of questions you have asked your self. Here are some of the questions I will be going threw. Who was Cain’s wife? Who was Cain afraid of? How can the world be 4.2 billion years old? How did Adam die the literal Day he ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil? The most complicated part of creation is chapter one and two. Most think they contradict each other. We will go threw this. Starting from Genesis chapter 1 verse 1. In Hebrew it is Bereshit meaning beginning. Hebrew reads from right to left. If you can’t read Hebrew don’t worry just admire the original language given by God. You might want to look at whatever translation your trust, I will be translating this from the Hebrew my self. For the most part any translation will do.
GEN 1:1
בְּרֵאשִׁית,
בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים,
אֵת הַשָּׁמַיִם,
וְאֵת הָאָרֶץ.
In the beginning of Gods creation of the heaven and of the earth. The reason it is better translated like this is for many reasons. Lots of rabbi’s translate the verse this way. Because God created other things before this. So it would be wrong to say in the beginning of the creation of God. Hebrew uses to Capitals. So when ever a big letter is seen in the Torah (First 5 books of bible) it is HINTING to something. The big letters are only found in a few parts of Torah. Here is the first one. The Bet in bereshit. This letter by it self used to be a house. The letter Bet means house. I think there is two things this is hinting to. One is notice all the creation is inside the house. The bet is facing the text. And the universe is created show that this universe is our house. The creation of the angels are out side of the bet, showing that their home is not this universe. Also I think it is hinting to when Satan feel. Which is in the next verse.
GEN 1:2
וְהָאָרֶץ,
הָיְתָה תֹהוּ
וָבֹהוּ, וְחֹשֶׁךְ,
עַל פְּנֵי תְהוֹם;
וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים,
מְרַחֶפֶת עַל
פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם.
Now the earth was with out form and void <<< this first part is how a lot of translations are. If you have a Hebrew dictionary you can look this words up, or a Strongs. Ve’ha’arets hayehtah and the earth was tohu vavohu chaotic and a wasteland and darkness was on the face of the deep and the spirit of God hovered on the face of the waters. Why was the earth chaotic and wasteland, or even chaotic and void. Also can read became instead of was. Did God make it this way. Well everything that God made in this creation it says and God made it. But it just says the earth was this way. So it had to get this way somehow. I believe this is when Satan was thrown to the earth. His very presence with his angels made it chaotic and a wasteland. Then to counter the darkness He creates light.
GEN 1:3 -5
God creates the light then sees the light is better and divides the light from darkness. He names the light day and the darkness night. This is the first day. Since it was not morning and evening till the light and darkness were made this time that the earth was in darkness could have been years.
GEN 1:6 -8
The earth at this time was gasses and vapors of water with elements like iron and nickel. He then divides all this into two parts. This is hard to explain what it looked like. Imagine one of those clear balls the hamsters run around in. that is the outer sky water, and inside that ball floating in the middle is another ball, that is the inner water. Both water mass is still mist. This was the second day.
GEN 1:9 -13
God calls all the waters to one place, Now the inner water has become solid was we call the ocean. Then God call dry land to appear yabashath הַיַּבָּשָׁה this is singular for ONE piece of land, science calls this Pangia. God calls the dry land earth and the other gathers of waters on the dry land he calls seas. God then caused the grass and herbs to grow along with bushes and tree’s. He caused them to after that bring forth after there own Peri פְּרִי there own kind. This Hebrew words denotes micro evolution, but not a banana tree to a apple tree. This was the 3rd day.
GEB 1:14-19
God puts lights in the sky, in which we call stars. Notice he created light before he put the stars to represent that light. Modern science of the big bang says light existed before stars. The word here is not the same word as OWR which means light, but this word is me’or’ot. This is to say that which illuminates. So now he put in the sky things to illuminate that light he created. The me’or’ot represents the owr. You can’t look at the sun to long or you will go blind, imagine what would happen if you stared into all the glory of God. He created this lights to separate the night and the day. Remember he called the LIGHT owr, he created DAY, and the darkness which was there he called NIGHT. This me’or’ot was to separate that light and that darkness. He made the sun and the moon also on this day. This was the 4th day.
GEN 1:20-23
וַיֹּאמֶר
אֱלֹהִים--יִשְׁרְצוּ
הַמַּיִם, שֶׁרֶץ
נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה;
וְעוֹף יְעוֹפֵף
עַל הָאָרֶץ, עַל
פְּנֵי רְקִיעַ
הַשָּׁמָיִם.
This is a very interesting verse, because it shows God used a type of evolution. God spoke to the water Yishretsu sherets. This is to say he told the water to divide but stay teamed as one, as when a single cell in a woman’s whom divides but stays teams as one, then it becomes flesh. God here is telling the water to do the same thing. Then he tells it to become flesh. Then he also creates the birds. So was he telling the water it self to divide or something microscopic in the water. Most likely something microscopic in the water. So this microscopic organism then divided and kept teaming together until he became flesh like in a mothers whom. Then he tells them to multiply after their own kind. So once they were fish, they could not turn to monkeys, because God said after peri, there own kind. NOTE this was the 5th day. Remember birds were BARA created on the 5th day, from water. This will be important later.
GEN 1:24-31
God from the earth creates the land animals as in Ox, monkeys, ect. He then creates man also after he creates the land animals. These animals were all so far created out side the garden. No animals were created inside the garden yet. God says Let us make man in our image in our own likeness. He was speaking to his angels. For his angels also have his image and likeness. Angels know good and evil. We see threw out the bible that angels look like man. The angels had nothing to do with creation. This can be hard to understand with modern mindset. In all eastern languages they have a word that is US and I both. Also in the English language so is our US. Look in the dictionary at www.dictionary.com check out US, OUR, WE. Read the entire definition you will see that all can mean singular I. Specially among sovereigns. An example is the Queen comes to here people. She is talking to 1000 people, she says, “ Let US go and sign the declaration.” But only she goes and signs the paper. Not one of the 1000 people she was talking to helps her. This was very common for centuries, specially in 1611 when the English bible was written. He says he made ADAM male and female, then he made THEM. So Adam was both male and female, this is not to say in the physical realm, but in the spiritual. For God has both female and male attributes, or rather we have the attributes of God as males and females. So before he created Eve he created Adam to have all the likeness of God both the male and the female attributes. This was the 6th day. Now lets take the information of Genesis chapter 2 to help understand more of what happened on the 6th day.
GEN 2:1-3
All the heavens were then finished, God did not rest but rather stopped working for God does not get tired that he needs to rest. God then blessed the 7th day and made it holy. This day ends up being blessed even in the new earth to come. Isaiah 66:22-23.
GEN 2:4-20
This is the history of the heavens and earth in which they were created, So this chapter is back tracking to bring out more details of creation. Which was a common style of writing. You will notice it says that in verse 4, In verse 5 it goes on to say no grass had sprung up yet, for God did not cause it to rain, but instead he waters it with a midst. It did not rain ever until the flood. This is why the people thought Noah was crazy. They never seen rain. They had the perfect climate. Verse 7 God formed man from the earth and breathed into him the life and he was a living man. We are now on the 6th day. We know from chapter 1 that the animals OUT side the garden were created before Adam. So now we know all the animals out side the garden are walking around. Then he PLANTS the garden and causes it to grow all types of trees and plants and sets Adam in the garden. No animals are in the garden yet. The tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil are now in the garden. In a literal since maybe these were tree’s. But get the idea of apples out of your head. It never says apple tree. But I say the tree of life was Christ and the tree of knowledge of Good and evil was some sort of writing that they were not to learn to read. This is a midrashim of mine, not to be taken literal. Proverbs 3 says those that lay hold of wisdom she is a tree of life to them. Cor chapter 1 says Christ the wisdom of God. Hebrews 5 the last verse says by the use of the meat of the word you get more discernment of good and evil. So more Knowledge of good and evil. The river which splits into 4 ends waters the garden. Verse 15 God put Adam in the garden to keep it and work it. Verses 16 and 17, out of all the tree’s you can eat but not of the tree of knowledge. NOTE, Eve was still not created. So Adam must have told Eve this later. God said it is not good that Adam should be alone, I will make him some friends. Ok now lets see what we have so far. The fish and birds were created on the 5th day, then on the beginning of the 6th day God creates the animals outside the garden, then he makes Adam then he plants the garden then he puts Adam in the garden. God sees Adam should not be alone. Now he is about the make the second set of animals for the garden. These animals are not normal, they can talk and live forever. They would not be much of a friend if they could die and not talk. But stay with me I will show you why. Lets look at this. Verse 19, out of the EARTH ground, God FORMED not created all the animals for Adam. First thing we see different is it does not say BARA created, but it says Yister which is formed. Next NOTE the birds also. We know we are on the 6th day became Adam is created on the 6th day. But these birds are formed on the 6th day. SO 3 differences we see. These birds for Adam are formed not created. They are from dirt not water, they are on the 6th day not 5th day. So now we can see these animals were made specially for Adam for the garden. The beast in the garden are not meant to die, they were made to live forever with him. But Adam messed up, so why should the animals be punished. Isaiah chapter 11 and also chapter 65, Lions will lie with the sheep. The lion will eat off the ground like an Ox, ect. These animals are in the new earth with us, the everlasting earth. I believe these are the animals from the garden, since they never did anything wrong God aloud them to live forever still. Now how do I get they had speech. Well, we will get to that in chapter 3. Adam then named his friends. NOTE: Adam did not have any fish that he named.
GEN 2:21-25
NOTE the word rib does not appear in this verse. Whatever your strongs says this word does not mean rib. This word means side, or curved. The people in 1611 were trying to figure out what on a man is curved or on the side, oh a rib is. It is possible it was a rib, but I doubt it. Most likely this is something much more complex which holds the likeness of God in us like DNA or something microscopically curved. So what he was actually taking from Adam to make eve was the female attributes of God. Then he made eve. Now the likeness of God was split between man and woman. Thus why the next verse says and FOR this very reason, the fact part of Adam was taken to make Woman, a man will leave his father and mother cleave to his wife and become one flesh. Because only with man and woman together can we be in the image of God. By are selves we are only half. This is why anyone that has a desire for God has a desire for the opposite sex. The next few chapters I am only going to bring out highlights.
In Chapter 3:1 NOTE it says beast of the field. The Devil el’ha’sawtan was never a beast of the field. This beast is called a serpent but we know he could walk at this time. The Devil possesses this beast to trick eve. The animal gave it’s consent to the Devil to use it’s body thus why both are judged. The punishment of the beast was that it would no longer walk but it would crawl. Also this particular snake lost its immortality and all it’s children and was kicked out of the garden. Thus why it says he would eat from the dust of the earth, this is a term to say you are a mortal. We also eat of the dust of the earth, Everything you eat is dirt. Plants animals. See a plants sucks it’s nutrients from the dirt, we then it those minerals. Iron, so forth. That beast lost it’s immortality. The Devils punishment was that there would be hate between his seed and Eve’s seed which Christ would come from. The devils seed is the wicked ones. When this beast of the field came to talk to Eve why did Eve not go what are you doing talking? If the animals in the garden did not talk, then Eve would have freaked out that the animals was talking. So it was nothing new to her that the animals in the garden talked. God said the DAY you ate of that tree you would die, and they did. Just as that serpent that walked died when made mortal. To go from immortal to mortal is death. The Day they ate from the tree they died. NOTE bible never tells us how long Adam and Eve were in the garden before they died. In Gen chapter 5 it only gives the mortal years of Adam not the spiritual. So for all we know they were in the garden for 4.2 billion years. The animals out side the garden live and die. So if they were living and dying for 4.2 billion years this give the time for dinosaurs to die off and some evolve into other animals. I have no problem with them saying the earth is this old or that, because it can be however old it wants to be. It came to pass that Eve had two sons Eve and Adam, and according to the book of Jasher which is listen in the bible two times. Jeremiah 10:13 and 2Samuel 1:18. Eve had 2 boys and 3 girls at first. This would explain where Cain and Able got their wives. One day Cain is made at his Brother, this might also have been do to the fact that Cain liked the woman Able ended up with. Understand that incest at this time was not wrong. It was not Wrong till God said it was wrong, which was in the times of Moshe that we know of. Maybe because the gene pool was clean still, there was no need for incest to be wrong. If Gods mind does not see it as wrong for whatever reason then we as humans would not view it as wrong. We only know something to be wrong if God sees it wrong, if we are of God. Well when Cain is being punished he says do not send me away for whoever finds me will kill me. So who is this whoever he is afraid of. He was going to be cast out of Gods presence. So God was keeping his skekinah in the garden. His presence. But out side the garden he did not keep it. So whoever these people were God did not find fit for them to be in his presence. Some might say these were a type of humanoid that evolved from monkey’s. I do not think this. I think these were the angels that left heaven and eventually slept with the woman and made the giants Nephilim. For God says do not fear I will put a mark on you, and who ever kills you will be punished 7 times more. This made Cain happy. Well if these were humanoids he was afraid of, then Cain would not have been happy with this mark, for he would know the humanoids would not understand it. Cain was already married, so his wife because she loved him went with him out of the land. Then he knew his wife that is to say they had sex.
Lets take an over view of creation. God creates light on the first day. 2nd day God makes the water separate. 3rd day God collects the water and makes the dry land appear and makes the vegetation. 4th day God creates the stars moon and sun. 5th day God makes the fish and birds. 6th day God creates the animals outside the garden who die, and then he makes Adam then he plants the garden then he makes the animals in the garden that do not die, then he makes eve.
